T-Rex Experience Disney Springs. June 2018

I am sitting in a dark and cool room surrounded by dinasaurs, fish and an giant octupus over head. Am I afraid, no! This is the experience when you come to dine at T-Rex Experience in Disney Springs.

Normally, this would be a frightful sight! Today, this is for entertainment. Dinner with a show!

T-Rex Video

The show is always great! The food is good! And, in Florida You need to know if somewhere cool to escape the heat. This is my favorite spot for that in Disney Spring. It is always nice and cool!

Now, for the service. It is really good to great! My bartender Alejandro was really good and attentive without being overbearing! The bar was how I got a quicker seat and they serve the full menu there, too. The Strawberry-Assaurus Lemonaid was very refreshing and fruity, with real strawberries in it. Since I am a local, I do not get the special glasses. Would be a waste

I love how personable the people are here. Many, even if not their location, are very helpful. This demonstrates quality leadership!

My food took a while, however, they were busy and did not seem that long for the volume they were doing.

Ok, the food! The steak has great flavor and is not tough. The shrimp is a tad overdone, but veggies are wonderful and scallop dish is the star of this treo!

If I’m Disney Springs and looking for a fun meal on a hot day, this is the place!

AMC Theater Disney Springs–A Review

A super hot summer’s day at Disney Springs. Lunch and a movie is an outstanding way to break up your day and near the heat. This is a review of AMC Dine In Theaters. This is Under The Ears first trip. Incredibles 2 and lunch.

This is the Bacon Ranch burger and it comes with fries. The burger was well cooked with great flavor. Cooked on a grill and an open flame

The fries were crispy, salty and nice and hot! The good was good. The seat was comfortable and my server Ashley was truly lovely! Ashley was attentive and not hovering. When I explained that I had never been there before, she explained the process

This was a great experience. The only downside, they had replaced the light bulbs and they did not dimm them for the movie. I asked, this was not normal and they are working on it.

Below are pictures of the menu

Boatwrites at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside

We at Under The Ears have heard a lot about Boatrights at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. After years of negatives and avoiding doing the review…..we are pleasntsly surprised. It is very good. Let’s take a look at everything. We often do this without reservations. We arrived and were met with a 30 to 40 minutes wait for a table. Surprise, moments later we were being seated.

Nelson was the waiter and would have done handsprings, has we told him that would make a happy. The staff (or cast, as Disney prefers) was pleasant, accomodating and appear to work as a team. This leads to excellent service.

For a sample drink, we tried a blood orange maragita. It was good, not great! It lacked the punch of blood orange that the drink is known for.

The appetizer we got was the fried green tomatoes. Wow, were these a surprise. They were crispy, perfectly cooked and the crap salad on them was not too much. The creme fresh was perfect to balance it. We would recommend these and have them again in a second.

Next would be the main course, this is a steak dish. With crawfish Mac and cheese. The steak was good, not great. It was well cooked though, but warm, not hot and the crawfish Mac and cheese was ok. Again, good, not great. The sauce was near flavorless. We had the waiter being A.1.

The big question is does Under The Ears recommend Boatrights? Most of the good was very good. The cast pushed this into a very positive dining experience. With good food and an amazing staff, we would recommend Boatrights. Them stop in and see yehaa bob
